Hello, My name is...
Hello, and welcome to "Diggin' This Information," a new blog that is inspired and ultimately required for a course of study to achieve my Masters's Degree in Strategic Communications from Troy University. I am Jaleesa, and in the past, I've blogged about lifestyle events, travel, and fashion. This blog will not be as carefree as my others in the past but still very informative. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with an Emphasis in Radio and Television Interactive Media from the University of North Alabama in 2014. I spent six years working in the radio business as a talk show and radio personality for music/talk shows. While working in the industry, I also edited audio content and produced content for the station billboards and website ads. I've explored many careers before I finally decided it was time to take the next step to obtain a master's degree.
As I think back to my radio career, I think about all the things I had the opportunity to do while working. I wore many hats in both companies. Not only did I get to talk on the radio, but I did a lot of work behind the scenes. I worked as a producer, digital media, and promotions assistant, which also included helping sales. My team was always older than I, and we would not ever see things the same. Many of those apart of the generation before me have found hardship in social media consistency. That's where I began to help. Many of these blog posts I have experience, and many of these I'm still learning. Still, nonetheless, it will be informative to you and me.
